Do The Right Thing And You'll Be Rewarded

My sister borrowed palabok sauce mix because they cannot find any from the store and the asian store that sells it is closed on sunday so I lend them my two packages of palabok sauce mix. The next day she asked her daughter to repay what they owed. Actually she doesn't need to pay it back. Anyway she did have two pkgs. of the same mix and a piece of biko (dessert made from sticky rice cooked with coconut milk and brown sugar, a Filipino delicacy of some kind). That's how our asian way of thankfulness meaning in other words showing "gratitude."

I didn't ask for it. But it's a matter of inherited trait that we inherit from our parents and ancestors. The payback time or pay it forward if you owed something whether you owed something from members of your family, relatives or community. Or else conscience will bother you.

In this small community when there are only few inhabitants and the rest are "tourists" and people who are members of the know nothings and bystander anonymous but surely with my vision they are not anonymous I know them. They are so familiar no matter how many disguised they have. How many times they lied in the past and the present. How many times they are afflicted with parkinson's and alzheimer. I have my pity on you people.

Oh by the way I have one incident with trying to help this very small community of the olds. The olds that I respect so much because without them there 'll be no young ones. You know... So off we went to this store to help. You are helping this community by buying something even if you don't like buying their goods. Because I have to washed them again and again and ironed them to disinfect these garments. That's how I am. Meticulous.

It was a "bag day." $5/bag. Anything in the store you can buy for anything that will fit in to the bag and it's worth five dollars. The store had items that is similar to the stores at the downtown area. Although it's a second hand store. Items and garments, including household appliances, china wares, shoes, bags, belts, everything except furniture. So I had two bags filled with items and paid the old lady with my ten dollars. Then I was about to go when she hollered that "it's not enough." I looked at the lady but cannot looked back at me and told her I paid you more than enough. I gave her my five dollar bill ($5.00) + two $2.00 ($4.00) + 2 (.25) quarters + five (.10cents) + coins in pennies and .10 cents = total of more than ten dollars and all the coins in my wallet. If she counted them all really well that's amounting to $12 at least.

Everything in the store are from families who donated their used clothes, fabric, plates, glass, pots and pans, household items, curtains and draperies, etc. I used to donate there too. I have donated so much to that store. But of course they don't know that. But having to face these people while they stare at me when an old woman said that my payment is not enough is really bad to the point that I have my own explanation to do. That's how ordeal are made instead of me asking God to settle the dispute. Bakit ba patatagalin ang mga mistake nang mga taong feel nila lagi silang tama kahit na mali. I know how to respect elders but they have to do the right thing too.

Then I realized they are not paid. They work there as volunteers. What if the money in the cash register is not enough for their cause. Know what? HONESTY is the best policy. Be righteous. Always do the right thing and respect the needs of others and most of all respect your customers.

Let say the goods are FREE because its from DONATIONS and there is no capital that's being used to sell those items so they are reaping mostly of profit. It is a profitable business. But wait hold on. They used electricity to wash and dry the garments using their flat iron that's it they consumed so much electricity. They need hot water to clean those china wares. It's more like a win-win situation. Although the items are free but to disinfect them have to use electricity and its expensive. That means the old people are not really getting any from those donations. Loud and clear!

I can understand all that. The old age pension is not enough for these volunteers. Now what? It is really up to the government of Mr. Harper to find a solution for so many old age pensioners in Canada. For I think the reason why they keep "targeting" me for their old age tactic is to shame me for something I never, never do. I am always righteous and I don't harm anybody except the dirty flies and I will hit them hard and dead.
