Pikon Ka Na Ba?

I'm always been avid fan of an ancient Japanese movie based on the shogun dynasty. Shogun means military dictator. .. just in case you don't know the definition. Since at a very young age when television is the only tech set that I could see in our living room aside from the Akai tape recorder stereo of my father. I am the TV addict that I used to be. Anything about television shows from 1970 I know from the heart. From the oldest movie stars to the Disney animated characters or from the Warner Bros. Yeah I know not only the walking newspaper but I am the walking TV.

There was a particular channel wherein at night at about 9pm I have to watch the Japanese movie, actually a tele-series of the Shogunate of Tokugawa and the cute baby named Daigoro. Also another Japanese actor who is known as the blind samurai named " Shintaro" the blind samurai who is a crime fighter. He was blind but his perception was very sharp and he is incredibly a shogun master. He has a partner in crime prevention and his name as I remember was Kobe. Imagine the old TV series was wayback 1970-1975. I asked my Japanese friend if she knows Shintaro because he was very popular in the Philippines. Know what? She doesn't know about him and I couldn't stare at her face. How could she doesn't know one of them? Then I stared at the photograph of Shintaro one more time and sigh...yeah right he is a clone of Fernando Poe Jr. Oh my God! Okay just kidding. I first thought I was watching another version of AI.

Anyway, the picture above with the Japanese lady wearing a Japanese kimono holding an exquisite unique drum was given to me by my friend. Nice eh? I could have asked for a "bonsai" instead. Ahahahhaa. Speaking of the oldest bonsai alive which is over hundred years old is worth fifty thousands ----in dollars! Yes dudette that's how valuable and expensive bonsais are.

Enough of my Jap venture for you know what? My daughter's into Jap pokemon wherein all animal animated creatures can talk except of course for one yellow and black color rabbit named Pikachu.

Pika-pika!

There'll be light...Lights Camera Action

One afternoon I was about to take my nap...about to close my eyes when suddenly there is some kind of light appeared in my vision, some kind of flash and rhythm. I got up from my bed and hurriedly took my digital camera and took a snap of the curtain. Not sure if you can visualize what I'm seeing unless you are very meticulous.
You wont believe what my leg got into. With all those circular shape which I found fascinating. What's next? I think need to have the best manicure and pedicure. Pamper myself with new nail polish.

I haven't try the new product from Avon but these items will surely give me a good shot with my photography. Thinking of a nice captivating background suitable for the name "Haiku."

Or is this background for the "Haiku" products better?

This is what a photography is all about. PHOTOGRAPHY is an art of fun.

Requirements:

1. Vision. Good eyesight to see a thing of beauty > last forever.

2. Steady hands to hold the camera in better angle.

3. Any good camera that functions the way it is. Brand name of the camera is just for distinction or you want to be sociable or have that status quo.

4. Light. The good light to see what you have to discover with your own eyes, with your camera lens. Nothing is good without or absence of light.

Are You really concerned?

How concerned are you? Let me know

Somebody had this tech device entangled that it will take for hours, maybe eternity to undo the knots. Anyway trying to find how long will it take me to figure out to straighten the device requires "concentration." It took me ten minutes. It's a matter of focus and the desire to find solution to do what you need to find out. F O C U S.
The "knots" above is somehow similar to the Chinese characters above. There are at least 100 characters. The strokes are somewhat encoded or encrypted. Two or three to five character or letters mix or combined to make a "word." Hard? Difficult? It is. Very!!!

Learning needs devotion, dedication, difficulties, and most of all the ability to learn that "knowledge is power."

However when knowledge is too much it is dangerous.

Wavy Waves

My son called his Dad the other night for the Texas instruments scientific calculator for his Math test review. We have three of them in different drawers however none of those calculators seemed to be functioning even if its in dual mode: solar and battery operated. How long the battery of a calculator should last? I remember when I had my scientific calculator it lasted for two years and then all I need is to change the battery. A tiny microchip battery. Stainless tiny round chip the size of the smallest pea. Imagine how strange the microchip is when it comes to its function in order to provide data. Then look if not stare at the memory chip in your digital camera and ask yourself how the hell that small piece of device can store gigabytes of data. Imagine a 4 GB of memory can have at least 5,000 photographs or ten thousands. Have those photos in album and surely you'll be amazed that you need at least 20 photo albums. It saves time and space.

Then next he asked, "how to tie a tie?" You know how to tie a neck tie? i think they will have sort of a performance on history dealing with the old period in time wherein they all have to wear clothes or attire or let say costume. I didn't bother to ask him for he is more suited to asking his Dad about almost everything. When he was a young boy or before he reached puberty we are more close when it regards to the activities in school. I am the normal kind of mother who helped with my children needs and their activities. Time changed dramatically since the time when they reached the teen years. Am I like that during the time when I was a teenager? That I got nothing to do with my parents except that I have to ask for my baon or allowance, bus fare, payment for tuition fee, money to pay for project, feasibility studies, money for pad paper, ballpen, notebook, new bags, shoes, clothes. Yeah it was like a constant asking for money to purchase all what I need for my schooling and mind you I never fail my parents when it comes to showing my good grades in school. I didn't end up a scholar but sure made them happy that I passed all the exams. The happier they are if I got an "uno." seldom you get an uno mark in the University unless you have perfect scores from all the tests at the very beginning of the class. I got grades such as: 1.00, 1.25, 1.50, 1.75, 2.00, 2.25, 2.50, 2.75 and 3.00. (in variation) depends on the subject and depends on the professors who either give 2.00 or 3.00 and 5.00 only. They felt sad and lonely if they will give below 2.00 for they want to keep you in their class. Ahahahha. Stay there forever for the boring lecture. Professors who issued 3.00 for half of the class are the conservatives, very strict orthodox teachers who believed in the rote system. They are the proof of professors who are also kind of bookies memorizing all the words, paragraphs including period and commas inside the book. They are god-like and have those robotic features not showing any facial reactions whatsoever. Professors who issued less than 1.75 mark on class cards are generous giver but you as a student had shown excellence in the academic course without being a manipulator and a sucker. Yup deserving grades because the students work so hard to achieve it. No ifs no buts.

Mark of excellence and passing grades in schools and universities in the US is somewhat the opposite of the grades issued in the Philippines. The number 4 and 5 determines >>PASSED. Passing grade.

Now here comes the WAVE. Too many definitions for the wave. It could be the wave of the water along the shore, beach and ocean. The wave pool where children and adults have to play ball and swim. It could be the kind of wave disturbance like magnetic poles shifting, remember the changing tides and every 11 th year the cycle of wave force is felt and the extreme climate reactions c ausing the many variations in the earth's surface. Too much activities in the north pole that's why. I don't need to be scientifically inclined to know this. Anyway, that's what happened when the earth is getting old.

Even old people felt the same kind of magnitude or tremors wherein you have to slow down when you are over 40 years old. . .

The Noodle Dance

I don't have problem when it comes to choosing the next meal for supper however it's the lunch am having a problem with. Finger foods for lunch it's okay especially when the kids are in school and there is no need to prepare so much food on the table. Dinner here at home is something that is of "brunch style." When it should be breakfast-lunch altogether at once in a buffet in the morning not at night.

What happened is I prepared special spaghetti yesterday for lunch instead of for dinner. Normally we usually have spaghetti only for dinner time. In the Philippines food intake should be more nutritious food intake in the morning so that the digestion of food is better and the fat is not stored for the night wherein it may cause indigestion or accumulate cholesterol or can cause blood pressure to go up or have that flare effect or heart burn.

So I had that spaghetti instead and it's okay with my kids and Lorne. Night time comes and I had trouble with what to cook since I had the beef for steak two days ago, had chicken the other night, pork sinigang, then beef again. Nakakasawa na ang mga karne. I w ent downstairs and we have two boxes of instant noodles in cup. Cup of chicken noodles is good enough. I know pasta for lunch then chicken noodles for dinner? Noodles again? My kids love it though. Simple meal. We can all have a noodle dance this way. I asked my husband if he needs or want the noodles with chicken instead besides it's good for him simply because he had that awful flu and that kind of soup helps him feel better. I boiled hot water and then served the instant chicken noodles and told him, " okay assumed that you are inside the airplane taking this hot chicken noodle soup." My husband, all of a sudden quipped, " Oh that could be it." That's the kind of noodle they served there." At least something to eat, while on short distance flight the stewardess don't serve you anything." I almost laughed at what he said. I stared at him sitting pretty on a lazy boy comfy and warm with his legs up resting for another serving?

I went back to my room and watched the 68th Golden Globe awards nite and it was at the time when the actor Steve Buscemi having a speech for garnering an award for best supporting actor. Is that the latest Golden Globe awards nite? Really? It seemed to me that the setting and their attire looks like old fashioned. It feels like 70's! Their fashion sense are somewhat "Vintage" however they have Moet brand of liquor to quench.

Robert De Niro won the Cecil De Mille Award with his provocative speech that he must keep on making good movies to keep his children to private school. Hehehe. While Natalie Portman chcukled with delight when she mentioned about her beau fiancee in her speech. She seemed in love with that guy who is her choreographer for "The Black Swan" the movie that made her the Best Actress. Oh she mentioned about her kissing scene with Mila Kunis. What else is the highlight of that show? Let's have the speech of Aaron Sorkin who won the best screenplay for motion picture "the social network" mentioning about "typing" is like a bank robbery. I couldn't help but laugh at what he said and I murmured "yeah...right especially when you are stealing my blood in my bank." The radars will soon panic and will have a red alert. The show was cut off and the TV screen opened up suddenly with Tamara Taggart and another newscaster with their newscasting. Uhm funny. Funny, weird and bizarre!

To tell you frankly the real true GOLD is in the year 2010. Anything about 2011 is an AA battery. Ahahhaha. I maybe wrong, you maybe right >>> you know it's only January and Janus the Greek God of the past and present is maybe, maybe hibernating.

Troubleshooting

Something real weird happened to my sewing machine after I finished sewing my sort of "project." I don't really know what happened. It's just stopped from moving even if I tried to drop a tint of machine oil on the specific oiling gap to make the stitches smooth and glides easily without a hindrance whatsoever. It cannot be that the needle or bolts are rusty or anything. Somehow I cannot let the head knob move to continue the flow of movement. I know how to run a machine like this singer sewing machine that I have. I have this for many years and maybe the warranty is already about to end. Or could it be? Five years, six years that a certain machine needs to be replaced? Or that there are troubles ahead when machines gets older you know every mechanical parts or the whole machine should be changed if not replaced so that you'll know you don't feel any anxiety whatsoever that your work will fail or not. Machines are machines and they need to be checked every now and then. Even people have that kind of reality check: Physically, mentally, emotionally, psychologically. Not only machines.
Anyway, to find out what is wrong with the machine, he - the jack of all trades tried to check the sewing machine that halt what I need to do in hours. He brought his tools and we found that there are so many hidden crap inside. The crap? Oh those lint and many threads that I used for the needle and lints from fabric. All those crap that entangles through the bobbin and other hidden parts of the machine that controls the normal flow of its movement.
That's why it is better to have a monthly check-up or routinary check of every machine for a smooth continuous flow of its usage.

When it comes to problem with my sewing machine, vacuum, and other household tools my husband is the handy man to call.

The Climb

I hate clutter. I want everything in order and organized. I cannot concentrate nor cannot find what I have to find or need if things are cluttered in a room. Also as much as I want to the wall should not be left blank or painted white for it feels like floating on a sea of salt. On a blanket of snow it is okay makes it feel so dramatic and cold.

I love to re-arrange my own living room, bedroom, and any parts of the house to feel comfortable and take pictures of how it appeals to my own point of view. Bad arrangement can only give an awful disorientation and headache. I believed in the order alignment of things including the measurement and size of the objects. I am an avid feng shui enthusiast. Knowing the balancing act can lead to wholesome goodness of what we can perceive psychologically and physically.
Okay the above statements make me serious about almost anything. So here goes my other aura, meaning my other personality taking photograph of myself in front of a mirror with my other "self" at my back. Awesome eh? Just one click.

My son Ty has given me enough GB memory card for my digital camera. 16 GB and that's totally, totally amazing . I can practice a lot of snapping and shooting pictures. He is also into photography and we have something in common thank God.
My Bush cabinet, yeah seems like real wood. It should be. I paid $798.00 for those pairs at Staples. Of course that includes tax. Speaking of tax have your receipts ready and important documents to go for the income tax preparation. The earlier the better to file your income tax on time. Good for those who can receive refund. Too bad for those who needs to pay back. Why some taxpayers need to pay back? That you don't know? If you made so much money or have accumulated so much income from last year you have to pay back the government. Income tax.

Yeah people there is one thing you have to know about TAX as much I want to have post this famous quote: "There is one difference between a tax collector and taxidermist.....the taxidermist leaves the hide."

On loopholes? Rich people make use of them as much as they want to at least it goes to charities they really like or that will benefit them or their families. Yes utakan daw yun. Sige magdonate na kayo sa charity na gusto ko. Ahahahahha. Hay naku tsa-ah.

You can donate to the Timberline Secondary School at Campbell River and make it into a University thereby the students wont need to move to other parts of the province. This message makes so much sense right?

We don't need to go climb the Mount Everest and be with those survivalists of 2012. How's that to you?

Cheerios to be happy

I have accumulated so many topic to discuss in my blog and it's like a cascade of so many stories that are interesting, fascinating and intriguing. But...I am becoming the community's storyteller and almost everyone wants to read it for free. Darn!

I get the chance to get out from my witch's cave and out of the blue people outside tend to react as if they want to be included in all my stories. Nice try. Yeah you'll have your characters stand out in my short novel or short stories don't worry. You'll be visible to my novel and you can see or mirror yourself from there whether your actions equal pay the payload. Hehehe.

I should have it in "komiks format" then hang them on a string like effect. You know just like the laundry hang dry by the wind. Or have them on piles on a metal stand and or magazine rack and you can pick what topic or title to choose from. I know that's low tech. We are now in the paperless era when almost everyone have access to computer, laptop, notebook, iPad, iTouch, etc. From iPad, the latest is "tablet." Not the tablet medicine. Uhm, didn't they read my previous blogs before mentioning about the "tablet?" Then here comes the inventor innovator naming their inventions as TABLET for iPad? Why tablet instead of iPad? You'll know better once you bought iPad and you are to install so many wirings and softwares and ----. Get a bottle of tylenol too. That's right Tablet was good for a name calling perse.

I should have it copyrighted right? I could be a millionaire now with all what I have written here becomes a fad, or a trend. When I first opened my Google account that was in Year 2005, the year when Google was looking for webloggers and they really want to give job or employment to the would be bloggers. What happened is it was like a pandemonium of writers-bloggers all at once in the internet. The journalist for newspaper and magazines used this new tech and they would rather blog instead of writing for paper. The more the merrier? I don't think so. It was like one headline made by a simple ordinary blogger without a name was "eaten up" and their original idea was stolen.

In my first blogging, yeah the very first day I had my personal drawing of a "design" that I made after a week that I have it published Apple had something in "similarities" with my drawing design. Yeah what a timing right? Then Apple company becomes a word of mouth again. Steve Jobs and his partner Wozniak who were the original Apple " Mcintosh " founder were back to the techgeekworld. The apple logo that time was in technicolor stripes like a rainbow. Good for them to return. Yeah when it comes to APPLE and applets I should be the one to be consulted don't you think? Aahahhahaha!

Now that's C H E E R S! To the Kismet, Wall E, and many of my robotics affiliate: I SHALL RETURN!
