I was unable to start blogging this morning not because the coffee is bland but because I am craving for  donuts or doughnuts whatever flavor is good enough. Since we don't have donut I opted for a crispy crust waldorf bread instead, cut them diagonally and have them lined up on the tray, spread the butter on top of them and put them  inside the oven. That's good enough for breakfast. I don't really have big breakfast in the morning. I'm on the diet ritual because getting fat here and losing weight is an option hard to resist.

Morning news on TV is more than helpful with my topic for today. Massive mess of oil leaks in the gulf of Mexico. Long time ago it was the Exxon Valdes oil disaster somewhere in Alaska now in Mexico. How it will affect the ecology of the nearby islands? You wont believe the cost and effect. Maybe staggering billions once again.

What other kind of messy mess in effect? INCOME TAX is called a MESS! It is a burden. Could it be the white men's burden? Funny. (Re: White Man's Burden by Rudyard Kipling). So, income tax is such a pretty mess. Since today is the end of the month, the homeowner gets the tax break and the renters do not. When it comes to income tax the rich people can always get away with it because of the LOOPHOLES. Many loopholes which sound perfectly alright for some of them just to avoid taxes implemented by the government.

How they can escape taxes? The rich provide generous donations to the university of their choice. They also give donations to their choice of charity, to the arts, to research facilities, hospital, to education, and many organizations they are affiliated with.

Loopholes are "provisions of the law in the country where the payers should have their reduction of taxes be implemented." While the expert economists advised that loopholes should be disregarded or eliminated to discourage polluters. Because in matters of policy making it is the burden of the economist to balance the conflicting goals> budget. And now you wonder why the financial minister cannot smile at all. Like having that "stoned face aura."  He was even captured on camera staring at the shoes he bought and what else a photograph where too many microphones, and digital cameras all around him plus this laser red beam of light at the back of his head. Cameras don't lie (via Rick Mercer's article about the MOF. WTH is that? Is that so scary? It is !!!!!!!!!!!!  It is most likely like a scene from "Enemy of the State." It is not very funny at all.

The primary reasons for government intervention (which is considered a KEY) in the economy is as follows:

1. Provide public goods that the market is unable to supply whether the consumers will buy or not
2. Dealing with externalities or disaster, conflict, environmental problem such as pollution
3. Encouraging consumption of merit goods and discourage harmful products
4. Helping the poor. Uplifting them out of poverty. Rising tide keep all boats afloat.
5. Help to stabilize the economic condition of the country. If you want the NATION instead of country it's okay. Canada is a nation as it always be in the past and up to now. Too much diversity.

Art Institute of Vancouver is what we need here in Campbell River. Don't you think so? Your bet is as good as mine. The school needs more funding than ever for the sake of our children.

I don't know what to write today. However I cannot broadcast all what I have in my journals and what I have in my mind. But something made me laugh this morning. Seeing the Philippine flag with the yellow sun and 3 stars on the left side plus the rainbow colors instead of the basic red and blue color on the right side is ridiculous. Hilarious or obnoxious? WTH made fun of the Phil. flag? It's not funny though although I laughed at first seeing it. Who wont be? Filipinos are becoming "balimbing." They don't know who they are anymore because of too much diversity going on. Mixed genes and mixed blood (race)  of too many ancestors in their blood is not a good thing. It's a challenge to mankind.

The political arena is now plagued with too much indecisive actions and politicking non-stop hurting the economy and well being of the population. Nobody knows whom they gonna vote this upcoming presidential election. Confusions set in, opponents trying to dismantle the views and opinions of many candidates including journalists whose job is to relay the message. The truth is anything can be distorted when words come out from one individual to another. Each person has different grasp of understanding. Lost in translation maybe the culprit. From English to Tagalog. Include the dialects of which they talk to at home. Communication is only good for two and three is a crowd. With millions upon millions of the population talking and yapping the way they want to be heard is crucial and racial.

It's true to what a journalist once said, "if you cannot solve the problem in your own family, in your own home how you can manage to provide solution within a country." Then add the many possible conflict arising from the outside forces such as foreign trade, foereign affairs and policies plus the many infiltrators. Mindboggling. The great good thing about is it's not all the leader who tackle this problems. The leader should have intelligent supporters and subordinates. It's not all done by a leader. So laking tanga mo na lang kung mag appoint ka ng mga wala namang alam sa politika at ekonomiya. Ganun yun. Don't blame it all to the leader. Yun nga lang lagi sa leader ang tama ng blame. that's why God has given each one of you the head with the brain to think what is good for the majority of the population. Ad majorem. Ewan pakialam ko sa politika nyo. They are all bowls of pitches.

When I first arrived here in Canada, Canadians warned me don't believe all that you can read on newspapers and magazines. Don't believe all you can see and watch on televisions. They are all made up.

What?!!!!! Baloney? Oh Sh---- Nothing is real then? Strawberry fields forever pala. But I want peaches. LOL.

As of now the volcanic ash from that Icelandic volcano is still in the headline and many passengers are stranded from the airport. Yuck. Imagine being stranded for so many hours and days in the airport without anybody to talk to? Thank the new tech you can chat all hours through your tech gadgets. You wont know that time is passing by but your money is running out. Too bad.

My first time to board a plane was in 1989. Aboard Cathay Pacific Airways. It's one of a kind. I was seated right there beside the open window and I can see the right wing and the big engine fan marked with Rolls Royce. Wow! I never thought that its also for an airplane. Yeah I am as ignorant as you are! The journey was only an hour flight from Philippines to HK. I enjoyed the special accomodation from lovely charming British stewardess who are not only beautiful but real nice. Unlike those F who are so snobby even if they are fuglees. Sh ---excuse moi if may tinatamaan. Flight stewardess should always be doing their work well as required of them di tulad nung mga stewardess sa PAL. Hindi ko naman nilalahat. But heard too many complaints about them.

So there I am at the Immigration with the Visa officer checking my luggage and extra hand carry bag. They opened my bags and saw this peculiar plastic bag and curiousity set in. "What is that?" she asked me. "Lanzones!" I answered. The Immigration officer smiled and said, "it must be sweet." "You bet it is!" The chinese officers checked my documents, including my passport. Stamp included and there I went to the next destination. To continue my life story in HK would only mean the "long version of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." So we need to cut that story short so that we can all move forward.

Love is like an oxygen you know. In order for you to survive, you have to slow down.
Take it one day at a time. If you cannot see the sun everyday that means you really have to pay. That's what it is.

Whatever will be, will be. Que sera sera

I had this very long dream the night of April 8, 2010 which I specifically recorded in my diary. I usually record my own dreams so that i can interpret them and draw conclusions. Some of my dreams are prophetic, meaning they happened in real life. Some are just probably the normal dreams in its unconscious state and meant nothing at all. I don't know if I have to have the dream written here in details or have them as a part of my next novela or short story whatever. I also made some drawings or illustrations to show how I have seen the "picture in my dreams." Anyway, time can wait. I have lots of time for all these things. Besides having them featured here would end up somebody taking it to the level for their own interpretations. You know making a dream comes to worst instead of having a happy ending.

I am not pre-judging the other people who keep distorting whatever I'm writing here for the sake that they want to be in the limelight. See, I am not even a known personality. I don't really want to be popular. As a matter of fact I want to be anonymous. I want to have a pseudonym instead or be a ghost writer but when some juveniles are stealing what I have set up here then its best to let it be known including my name. That too is not really a good chance that 100% result that no one will take anything that belongs to me copyrighted or not. nothing is permanent. Only temporally? Just life here on earth, we are just a transient human being here today, gone tomorrow.

How facts are distorted? Twisted by many who belong to the "you know who." get a grip then. I will fight back &  get even. How dramatic I am when I'm not even an actress. So cut the crap of that soap, a part that I don't really want to be in those corny episodes.

So what I'm here for is to give you a guide on what a good worker or employee should be. I'm just a normal blogger here while the rest of you here probably work for Google and you are paid to do your googling other bloggers to see if you gather ideas from me or from us.

Here are the good qualities of a good employee that you ought to be in the employer's mind:

1. People who can talk. Good communication skills. Being enthusiastic and assertive.
2. Sales type personality with good PR. Well rounded personality. Not timid or lame. Mavoca.
3. No legs pulling the executive. Don't suck up. Show your talent and credibility.
4. HONESTY.
5. Important stuff not shrouded and or distorted. Mystery is for the writers to dwelve in.
6. You should be politically and economically motivated.

P.S. The above qualifications are what employers from the government wants from you or employers who are bureaucratic. In showbiz, it's your manager who carry all the burden when it comes to publicity and how you have to appear in public. In other words you are surrounded with "contract that you have to sign but read first with understanding or have a lawyer with you when you signed up." One of the reasons why too many actors and actresses and showbiz personalities end up bankrupt and their managers reaping most of the wealth. That is what happening in showbusiness before but in this generation? Dunno. Inquire the veterans.

Innovator, thinker, designer and inventor, this man is a genius! You may think he is an alien. But whatever he is tinkering is always a product of something educational and entertaining. You know he is a man whose creative talent is based on what he can be of useful to others and that will provide a long lasting effect about humanity and of course what can of be advantage to the human mind. The good thing about iPAD is you don't need to use a mouse and a mouse pad. It's your hands with your fingers touching the icons and many logos to open up screen upon screens in the net. Touch this and touch that,  the pad or tablet as what the geeks and nerds are saying. It works wonder like magic. Oh oh, it's magic you know )))

Too bad, real bad the iPAD is very in demand that they are out of stock. They sold half a million of these geeky tablets and to find them in the malls and department stores in Canada and the US is futile. That's what I heard. What happened now? The consumers should probably alert the maker or manufacturer of this product so that they can produce more of this iPAD.

I keep on typing IPAD but its actually spelled as iPAD with the small " i ." Even iPhone is spelled with the small i for the initial letter. What's with i ? Pinkee? Or a hook for sign language? Whatever.

My pad is a pad paper. You know those lined paper that we used for notebooks and the ordinary pad paper we used at school for test paper. Pad is not a pod but frogs do have them. The biggest pod that I've seen was the one shown in the movie, old movie of Tarzan which starred Johnny Weismuller. You remember him? Johnny was once an Olympic Gold medallist for swimming. They have the biggest pod in that old film wherein the whole family of Tarzan can fit in.

iPAD , pad and pod have  different meanings. Now would you like to paddle crazy underneath? iPaddle crazy maybe when the right time comes. What is fad and crazy now is for the multitudes is to get the latest craze tech gadget and they don't wanna  be left behind.

I don't know if I will take it as a joke or just KB is a joker or has too much sense of humor injected in her diabetic veins. That woman is a writer (rye-ter) it could be a wheat with wit? Nah, that's my blog. Hehe.

Can you just imagine a fellow blogger would have the nerve to point directly about many politicians having to borrow many passages and verses from known authors, philantrophist, philosopher and God knows who are the real authors of those wise sayings and beautiful wonderful highly acclaimed words of wisdom. You probably will never know who will inherit the many blogs here in the internet after 20 years, 50 years or hundred years. Some of the most popular verses were taken from the Holy Bible and were then memorized by other individuals and made them into their own. I wonder what God Almighty will think or say about that anomaly.

Also is it not ridiculous that when an asian person writes a poem, essays, and has provided views and article that is overwhelming like it's over the top and what is the first reaction? Oh, it was copied from the book. Or it was not that asian person who made it. They cannot do something good. That was plagiarized and taken without permisssion.

That's why when you want to quote somebody for your written article you have to ask permisssion or you can  quote the person who made it or at least mentioned the name of the author thereby leads you to not punish yourself of guilt.

In my elementary years, memorization or the rote system is required. It should be. Mandatory! Only then you can learn you know. Bilinguals or those having multi-lingual languages need to apply the rote system too. You really have to sleep with Webster on top of your head. Learning the many vocabularies. For if you don't know the words you would have problem with grammar and spelling. While me I construct my sentences, statements in a manner that I'm speaking with you. My tone and pitch is not that perfect but I made a point to learn (again). Asians have accent when they speak. That's normal unless if you are born and schooled in a foreign schools in the US, Canada or UK.

I was used to memorization using   the textbook that we used in school. rote system. we are trained to that kind of system and I don't know if they have the same implementation. Many of the students in my class including me have perfect score when it comes to test (ing). It is probably because of the result that our class was subjected to routine inspection or introspection by memorizing details after details of poems and verses and article for declamation from the book. Some of them are longer than 5 to 10 pages. We all have to face the whole class and recite them in front of the class without looking at the textbook or from the source. Why that kind of obvious ceremony every week or twice a week? We had a president who can deliver a long message to his countrymen that lasted for mor ethan 3 hours non-stop. The speech was written in various newspapers and the speech is longgggggggggggg that it occupied the whole newspaper. What happened to the ADvertisement? Read the label.

Right on! It was like Village of the Damned. Damned if you know. Damned if you don't.

When I was in college, my professor called me while she was staring at my test paper in Taxation and Agrarian Reform. It was my first time that she called me in front of the class. "Come here Miss V------! While I was walking towards her I heard the class murmuring like busy bees. Yeah I know they love to hear my name. Only to find out that my professor who already on her retirement age wants to scold me for changing the many definitions in the vocabulary words she'd given us based from the textbook under Martial Law. "Why are you changing the definition from the book?" she was mad at me. I only replied that, " I have to use my own words based on my kind of understanding of those laws." She quipped also in almost philosophical way, "Next time used the exact words from the book. Your definitions are longer!"

Dear MM,

I hope this will help you a lot. Not that it means allot as in allotment. Although nothing means a lot. Okay let me tell you this forward and you'll be in my hospital ward. Hehe! Parents are the most caring and loving people anyway you turn around. Are you a caring parent? Yeah parent, you are a parent. Single mother! What you know about parenting? The role of parents evolved inside the home of the children. When the kids are at school the role of the teachers are emphasized and what matters to them matter to us the parents. On being involved? You are a teacher don't you? Are you caring and knowledgeable? Why bother about parents support or involvement in the students when you know right there the reason why they are in school is to learn. They are not there to feel at home. They are there at your place to study and LEARN! If they can get so much knowledge from TV why bother go to school. Yeah I know school gives certification. That's what it is accreditation. And the students deserve to receive them from the teacher who deserved such respect and therefore the principal plays an important role and the task to know who these teachers need the "label."

Pls. don't make it complicated because knowing how and why you as a teacher is there in the first place and you are paid and the kids need to get something from you as a teacher. It's a give & take process. My home is already a house, a home and a school. Don't make me shut down the few schools left standing there. You know...

Concerned parents

P.S. Whatever feelings you have whether sentiments or any problems you have about the students don't you think its best for you to relay the messages to the school principal? Not for public viewing.

I remember a teacher once complained about the many absences in student's attendance is because of the following reasons: family conflict, dysfunctional families, divorce, sickness, poverty, unemployment, and what else to add in the list?

You can add some other reasons to make you happy so that you have a job to solve, resolve for your expertise is needed in matters of conflict or catskills are needed.

In other countries, parents are not allowed to volunteer for reasons that every students are highly competent or competition arised in every schools and having parents involvement inside the school will just help change the "grades" of the students and that's unfair for those who are really well deserving. Suckers beware!

When children learned so much from watching TV, logging in to the computer and surf and search and played so much of the internet interactive website games, aside from playing their almost virtual avatar featured games on their XBOX, Wii, Playstation, and other educational creations on the many devices that technology has to offer you know right there they are LEARNING what a virtual world is. They can see so much as far as their naked eyes could see. TV - the wonders of televisions, radio, iPAD, iPhones, computers and the many tools to help the kids achieve their goals so let me ask you one thing what a good TEACHER has to do with providing the education our children needs at school?

Teachers would like the parents to participate in the students activities in the school and extra curricular activities outside the school. The question is are the teachers of today NOT capable of using their basic learning teaching know-how to TEACH the students at this present generation that they want the parents involvement?

It's probably okay and without a doubt or hesistant to say that it's okay to volunteer in school and assist the teachers when the students are way over the limit in the classroom. Like you have 30 to 50 students. But if you only have 10 to 15 why you want another assistant to help you? Teaching is probably not your occupation to begin with. As I said before teachers or those who would like to pursue teaching should have their IQ tested and have Psychological Test and interview. Teaching is really a job for those who know how to teach and thereby able to commuinicate with his or her students. Qualified teachers who doesn't need the help of anybody. Teaching is a work, independent work. If you cannot administer or supervise your own students please resign. Probably there are too many teachers in the line up applying for that position.

Next thing is I don't know if you know that in Philippines, volunteers are not allowed in the classroom. If the teacher have problems within the class she can assigned her best student to assist her. This is allowed in Elementary and High School. In College, why should you as a teacher need an assistant? Maybe if you are a scientist and you need a laboratory aide to help you assist the experiment when its overbearing.

In partiality, volunteers are needed when there are so much handicapped in the classroom. But do you think volunteers should be allowed on such kind of task? Its either the school pays for aides, helpers,   or the parents of those involved. I mean its common sense. I'm just being truthful. On field trips and excursions if you cannot handle the situation don't make any attempt to ask where you want to lead the students. Plain and simple. Situations you cannot cope up without any help is simply a matter of common sense when risk is involved why lead them to it? It's just logic. A philosophy that leads them to safety at all times. You are already in a safe place called school. School is a second home for kids. A trip to the lala land and to where else in the world just to escape from boredom of the usual school agenda is questionable. Having to go for a field trip twice or 4x a month is absurd and ridiculous. That's something to think about. Don't you think?

If the students are afflicted with too much "handicap" whatever they should not go to school, they should go to hospital. Yes I am so mean and so truthful. I am not a liar. I am not on denial and more over don't want in a situation wherein the teacher has to beg for more volunteers because she cannot handle the truth and she cannot and wont be able to teach. Meaning her teaching skills is unbelievably not qualified for the task. Try honesty MM okay? Spray honesty and sprinkle it on your face and body. It has a scent that will remind you that YOU REALLY CANNOT HANDLE THE TRUTH. Or you can report to the principal that you can only accept gifted students wherein you don't need to teach but watch and observe them, jot down some notes, all the movements are then written and analyzed and there 'ya go you have your term paper with you and you can have a book. I know. I don't need to be there to know what you are doing. Kids don't tell me either. Call it a telepathy. Or the GPS and satellites are roaming once again. It's good to know that the agilent is up there eh?

What have you learned from all these? Of course you learned so many things from watching TV. In fact television is the most indispensable tool for learning. It is like an open BOOK.

The never-ending saga of TV bringsforth the many knowledge you will acquire in this lifetime from the moment you laid your eyes on every images that you can see., from television shows, documentaries, movies old and new, news in the past and current news, headline news that keeps breaking, alert news, sports and history of the past and present generation all these contribute to the many memories that you should not let go out of your memory. Put them in your memory bank like as if you learnt something. You do learned something from all these. There's no denying the fact that you haven't learn anything. Where are you in this part of the world that you keep denying nothing can be learned through all the shows and movies from TV. It acts as mirror, a reflection of yourself and intuition. Your life unfolds through the other side and you think it's nonsense. It is nonsense when you haven't learn anything or there is no growth in your sense of perception and philosophy in life. I might say in all honesty that even babies are subjected to learning just by watching the images on TV. It is a babysitter alright. Can you just imagine that TV babysits your children and kids? The effect is the same when it also applied to adults. The "light giving process " of your destiny.

However many of us would rather see the exterior part of another dimension which is the environment around the house. The surroundings where you live, and the community which is a part of your city. from city to country and the next neighbouring countries. Try to compare them from yours. After how many years you'll find that the community where you lived 10 years ago was not the same anymore. After about 50 years you think you can see the huge difference? Looking back the years and had a visit after 5 years looking at the same exact place you think the same interior and exterior stays the same? I don't think so, it seemed that with too many infrastructures goin on as fast as building legos you'll find out that the one you expect to be there is no longer there. The difference of what you've got yesterday is no longer that same path today. That's how fast the system of retrieval nowadays. Too much technology and people acting like robotic machines whose got nothing to do but  lead and destroy what you have accomplished in the past.

What have you learned from this topic? Keep your family first and foremost. Friends are not really friends if you keep on competing with them. In UNITY there is strength.

Learning the same thing all the time and get the same kind of reward is boring. Doing IT differently and choosing your own game that you know you will win is also boring and lame. The choice is? DON't PLAY. QUIT THE GAME. Don't risk your life on stupid games.

WORK is the only WAY to QUIT THE GAME!
