25th Of November 2021

Right now, we are experiencing a storm without a name at the island of V. Too many mild storms had passed and gone but every month I must tell you had its impact on falling trees on electric post lines. An old growth tree had fallen yesterday and was cut for firewood and my hubby was called by S. just in case we need firewood. Eh? We don't have a fireplace at the townhouse. My sister has a wood fireplace so hubby called my brother-in-law to gather those free firewood for their fireplace. At least they don't need to buy firewood.

It's windy today. The trees are swaying crazy and the power lines are shaking to the beat of the gusty wind. I wonder why there's no name given to a storm here at the island. If this is a typhoon in Philippines the one we have today is category 2 1/2. lol. Well, depends on what part you are at the island. If you live closer to the beach and the waves over 5 ft to 10ft then it's Category 4. We live on higher ground level of the island far from the beach area.

I only had a piece of cinnamon bun for breakfast that my hubby baked last night. Actually had a big bun + half  of cinnamon bun last night and I'm still full. It was so good. Just the right amount of brown sugar and right amount of cinnamon in it.

So while the neighbors in America are celebrating their Thanksgiving Day today...

I might just greet them especially my relatives: Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends in the U.S.A.

HAPPY BLESSED THANKSGIVING DAY

& Enjoy your turkey!

How Fast can You Read? How Fast Can You Type?

Can you read at a lightning speed? Or just that you can read text at a level that is appropriate for your age? Reading and texting is most common than normal since the computer was invented and cellphones abound because most people preferred to text rather than talk.

And you are confused and wondering why too many have ADD or ADHD and AUTISM is becoming a phenomena. What's the rate of Autism in your city or community? Many years ago,  nobody knows Autism and its meaning until Hans Asperger had made a thorough research studying the "slow kids" under his care. Some humans without knowledge about Autism are blunders to their goal and they didn't even know it ever existed in their schools or community called those kids as "feeble-minded." First of all Autistic kids are not really slow. They are slow because they are timid, shy and do not want to offend other individuals. They are happy in their own world... their world is not the same as yours.

Through the looking glass. I'd like to think that most autistics should have special eyeglasses to see the world beyond them, their surroundings and the nature where they are born and specialize on what they can see with their own eyes as opposed to what other normal people can see. Who knows maybe their visions are more bionic or their visions are futuristic or they have superhuman vision and afraid to show what they can see and afraid to express it because you cannot see the way they do.

There are many complicated issues of being autistic. Autism is not duality or having multiple personality. Autism is not being paranoid or being schizo. It's just that you a normal human being cannot understand them that's all.

Autistic people have a way of life different from yours.

Are you a religious fanatic humans?

I see autistic humans as "angels." They are angels!

It would be hard to believe and believe angels exist in our time.

Even the religious almost zealous member of the covenant of God wont believe angels that they do exist. The skeptics and believers wont believe and therefore their faith is under scrutiny.

NOTE: As usual I was in my typing mode.

I just let it go. What I have in my mind will be the words and statement for today. On Sunday, misty morning. HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYBODY!

Now have to go back to my task. Time to cook for lunch.

Saturday Rants

OMG! Gloomy and depressing days again. So many people are already feeling the depression and melancholia because of the effect of downpour. November is really such a nasty, very nasty low precipitation bad weather that if ever would rather be in another country. Yucky, chucky! lol.

Yesterday was okay though, an hour of sunshine had delighted us from the island within the Pacific ocean and you can see so many inhabitants out from their homes and unto the roads going to their favourite restaurants and supermarket. We only went shopping in the nearby QF to buy fresh produce and ingredients for the lumpia (eggrolls), nothing much to purchase actually because hubby wants to go shopping in the big supermarket when he feels it is necessary as in we have to store meat products in the freezer. By the way, the brother of the owner of the house we rented for more than 2 1/2 years had approached and talked to us. Then today, he called hubby again asking how he is doing after the surgery. He seems very concerned.Wow!

Nothing much to be doing at this time of the year. Although all schools are still open (not on weekends) and if there are news of the pandemic scare...get to know the symptoms or ask Dr. House for true real diagnosis. Your COVID-19 could be just FLU. Influenza or flu is common during the season of Fall & Winter. Then the onset of flu is more common at springtime when pollen are spread in the air by wind. The more molds gathered at the crevices of your homes when you are not using heater or fireplace is off. Also if the rooftop and ceilings of houses had accumulated lots of molds.

COMMON COLDS : Colds, runny nose, headaches. (Common because of changing weather patterns). Hot & cold temperature can cause colds. just normal.

COMMON FLU: Colds, runny nose, headaches, cough, aches & pain from coughing, sore throat, fever over 38 C.  ((Take a Tylenol capsule for fever & flu)). Have lozenges (Vicks or Halls with honey lemon) for sore throat. Have a hot chicken noodle soup preferably Lipton with sliced of ginger.

STOMACH FLU: Pain, Fever, Diarrhea> Sometimes having diarrhea doesn'tor not accompanied with fever.  Although you can take OTC meds such as Diatabs or drink bottled water or Gatorade could relieve dehydration. If the diarrhea last for more than 12-24 hours consult your doctor.

COVID-19: Combination of COLDS + FLU + Diarrhea + Shortness of breath +  Loss of taste & smell + Cannot be cured by Over the Counter Medicines + Pre-existing medical diagnosis. That's why the salesmen on TV want you to take VACCINES. Get the jabs to get the jobs. With more than half of the population in one country (or other countries in the world) who are vaccinated with double doses, I don't think the virus is much that strong enough to infect unless of course if majority of the population have pre-existing medical diagnosis or they have cancer cells.

Saturday today. Thank God we're still alive! I don't have any of those symptoms above. I might call Dr. House if it concerns my health. LOL. OMG! I hate those bad news on TV.

Now it's time to watch my favorite teledrama series with sub-titles. Ciao for now.

Take care everybody!

Let It Go

Stormy & windy today, yey! We have a storm at the island. Cold, soggy, wet outside and the weather temperature right now is at 5d. Celsius. Half of the yellow leaves from the branches of the nearby oak tree had fallen on the ground and wont be long it will go bald. Hundred yards away from us, I can see clearly one of the biggest branch has a bird's nest. I wonder what kind of birds had built its nest over there. The neighbors maple tree leaves of orange and red colors are everywhere, their apple trees full of apple fruits still hanging and clinging on its sturdy branches, there are several fruits down on the ground. I wonder why the neighbors never pick their apples. While the neighbor across the street on the left side had their apple tree and pear tree  empty of its fruits.

I'm glad we don't have any of those trees that shade foliage and those kinds of leaves that clutter and spread all over the ground. They are beautiful trees: those maple trees, birch trees, oak, dogwood, cherry blossom trees but their leaves can pile up high like a hill and can cover up a cottage house in the forest.

Chickadees and finches on the front lawn this morning. At first didn't notice of them because their colors, the colors of their feathers are the colors of the ground and they are small birds. So many hundreds of them. Their beaks on the ground pecking on what kind of  food they could get? lol.  maybe seeds, insects or grains? I should have a telescope.

Anyway, winter is fast approaching. Although, on Calendar Year, Winter Solstice will be on December 21, 2021...other parts of Canada experienced snowy winter wonderland already since last week.

For now, let the storm in and let it out and then no more rainfall and what we need is a another wonderful days ahead. We cannot be depressed all the time. We cannot let the weather dampen our daily lives. You should not suffer of the S.A.D. just because it rains all the time. So, go away rain and go away storm. I don't need you in my life.

Can You Feel IT?

My first time to try this ballpen PENTEL brand. It stated that it has low viscosity, meaning it is smooth liquid and it glides smoothly when used on paper for writing. Only 0.7 mm point so thin. I don't like the thick ink.

LOW VISCOSITY refers to something like water. Be prepared to wear eyeglasses. lol

MEDIUM VISCOSITY refers to something like olive oil

HIGH VISCOSITY refers to something like crude oil

When I was College, I only used two types of pens: ROTRING & STAEDLER. They are famous tech pen for writing, drawing and especially made for Architecture & Engineering students.

Seldom we write here in Canada. Since the propagation of computers, laptops, iPads and Tablets and cellphones, texting is the normal way of communication.

If you'll notice many students cannot write legibly and do not know how to handle ballpen. They can print but not as good as those who practice their skills in writing and printing. Their cursive writing is more like "kindergarten level" even if they are already adults. Blame it on high technology of typing through computers and texting on high tech gadgets.

Who cares? Yup, who cares about writing using with pens? It's not always you'll have electricity. That's all.
