Sochi's 2014 Winter Olympic Games Opening Ceremony

The grand opening ceremony of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games started early morning before 10 AM. I'm always excited into the OPENING CEREMONY because I want to see the highlights, the events, the history of what comprised, the foundation of one's country based on its history, heritage, ethnicity, customs and traditions. What made this country so unique. It 's always been the "theme" of the host country sponsoring the world's number one game(s) that should be identified. It's their own concept of how the evolved as humans. TRADITIONALLY the OLYMPIC GAMES is played every 4 YEARS since the time of Christ at the time of Julius Caesar, Nero and the many emperors from ancient period to the Dark Ages to the Enlightenment to the Modern World to the Civilized World.

This is their interpretation of their civilization:

The grand stadium opens with the little girl playing a huge kite and then suddenly she was taken away by the kite up in the air up to the clouds. She was able to see the islands with the horse grazing along rows of birch trees. Then the many ethnic group of people within Russian territory wearing their ethnic costumes. Parade of nations followed. All the Olympians, the Olympic athletes and their team, flags, colors, dressed uniforms are welcomed and introduced to the podium. Then the highlight of the opening ceremony is once again introduced and the continuation of the great performance was seen on the wide screen. It was like the coming of the Vikings through their Viking ships more like the "Game of Thrones" television series. It was clear and pompous elaborate migration then  three white horses arrived from the sky as if it's an apocalypse aura of somekind. Giant whales, giant inflatables of the Basil Cathedral came into the stadium with the whirling, twirling graceful dancers gyrating to the most coloful kaleidoscope rotaion and movements that can make you spin.

The three mascots appeared at the podium: Cute polar bear, leopard and rabbit. They are huge!

Later, the Benjamin Franklin's invention of lithography, architecture, the printing press, the detailed blue prints were introduced and infrastructures are built. There was War and Peace story. Natasha's performance of ballet and the significance of the story has something to do with the revolutionary movements. Mozart 5 was introduced. The building of railways. Machineries are seen for the industrialization and farming industry, the reconstruction of the Soviet Union is well emphasized to the utmost care and power. children were given the education they deserved. Rocketship, planes, are introduced  there was an economic revolution and militarization. Skyscrapers, tall buildings, edifices, vehicles, motorcycles became common features of the expansion of civilization. The emancipation of the world's leader in the construction, steel industry is known the world over. Russia's achievement becomes huge and powerful the world over as they were able to move their products to other parts of the world through migration of their own people.

You have to know that those Europeans are Russians. The Chinese Mongols are Russians, Canadians are Russians? Maybe half-half! I wonder if there are Filipino-Russians. uhm maybe Cuban-Russians. Dr. Zhivago is a story of Dr. Rizal! Hm, Maybe I'm wrong!

The Opening Ceremony in Sochi, Russia is magnanimous. It was grand, fabulous, enigmatic, elegant. It was well served. What I'm missing? Where's the faberge eggs?

KNOW WHAT?

Russians can speak English. They are educated. They are civilized. Everything is narrated in English.

Montreal Show Canada built 60% of the set.

There are 3,000 performers in that 3 hour show

6,000 costumes

Some of the performers are members of the Bolshoi Ballet Co.

The soprano singer is Anna Netrebko who sang the Olympic anthem is a look-alike of Irene Marcos. Or I'm just so blind?

Overall the Opening Ceremony is GREAT!

Why the fifth snowflake that represents the FIVE RINGS of the Olympic Games didn't open?

WHY? IS the Game Finished? That's the enigma of the Olympic Games.

There is always a MYSTERY in every Olympic Games and hopefully the enigma is a MIRACLE sort of after all Sochi is located closer to the Black Sea where Jesus Christ once walked through it during the pilgrimage.
