Transformation On The Shore: Year 2012

A visit to the Frank James Park in Campbell River last year. I was so tired from my afternoon walk with my friend Stella that resting on this wooden statue of a big cat is such a relaxing mode.

Fairy tales do come true in this photo image with a dragon. Pop the magic dragon lives by the sea and spreads its splendor amongst its spectators in the total drama island.

Sto. Ninio? Maybe, maybe not. A wooden statue of a child with a robe.

A very studious student reads his book while sitting on the branch of a tree and his dog watches him when he will finish his turn
.
What a big bird they have here. An eagle? Fly like an eagle.

A wooden statue of another bird. Yes people they do love birds here in this island and may I remind you that there are so many bald eagles in the island. Endangered species roaming and flying freely above space. Freedom at last! Atlas! Mercator.

Know what? I don't know what happened to his hand. The sculptor should inform us if he runs out of wood intended for the hand or his masterpiece was a representation of  "disability or injury." What could be?

There are so many other wooden carvings out there such as: The Viking with an ax, Mother and Child, a frogman, more birds, Sesame Street characters, etcheterra.

What the sculptors have to work on this Transformation On The Shore Year 2013? That's for you to find out at this location: Frank James Park, Campbell River, across  7-11 or 7 Eleven Convenience Store, along South Island Highway. The Carving Competition is open since June 26 to the 30th for Canada Day Celebration.
