Every time there is a calamity and disaster I have to face my books esp. my encyclopedia. Then my Atlas (World map) trying to check where the location is, the geography and the latest news on its place on planet earth. I still believe in the information provided inside the BOOK. Yes books are powerful. The information in every books that were inside the library in your community, in your schools are  the best resource for anything you want to know about.

National Libraries are up to date with the latest information about anything under the sun. With exception to the rule. I think I have informed you in the past about a story when my sister went for special training in Italy. Her foreign classmates insulted them about the 19th century dwellings and housing in the Philippines. Their library's information, books and old video collection resulted to snapshots and slides of houses on stilts and Badjao's way of life. Almost everyone in the class laughed at the presentation. My sister and her friend also a Filipina were red in shame and embarrassed. Anyway that was more than 15 years ago. Manila is now a site of fast moving progressive environment where infrastructure is equal to HK.

When it comes to geography time and time again mapping is essential. Careful planning and mapping. The fast evolution will make us amazed on how fast the building and infrastructure project in the world. As they say Rome was built within a span of how many years? Maybe less than a year. Because of millions of slaves. Long time ago. Anything can be built within approximate time limit provided that there is a huge budget allocated to finish it.

Because of the many changes that happened to environment you'll be shocked that the old map is no longer valid. Some islands that naturally are connected were separated for the ship and other boats to sail unto, a passage to its destination so that shipping is fast and navigation is effective and clear without any barrier except of course natural calamities. But is natural disaster avoidable? Earthquake  hurricane and volcanic eruption is a natural havoc to society. It is but it can be prevented by sending messages and signals.  FGS we are not Pre-historic.

Back to the MAP. There is some kind of trick on some of the map I know. Some islands were actually tricked to be smaller when its bigger. Others are inverted and reverse. The area along Pacific ocean has wide gap but probably was used an anchor connecting reefs. The existent of the islands are wider like its been punched or magnified. Do I have to believe that the sun is actually just one? Mirror mirror on the wall.


I think I have to eat more apples. I need more fiber in my body because the navigation range is simply not there. I mean I have to be on the highest seat of the land to find that for sure. Could it be that Palawan is a big country of Cuba, Haiti and Dominican? Who knows right? How to extract oil from that region? Or they only can produce sugarcane?
